About David Melisse
After being active in finance in Istanbul for 2 years David decided to move to a more comfortable place to live. İzmir-Çeşme was immediately location number 1 to reside for him. As a native Dutch Citizen, he gathered a lot of experience in the Real-Estate sector in the Netherlands: “The lack of transparency and professionalism is unfortunately quite common in Turkey”. His past experience with some real-estate purchases in İzmir inspired David to start Aegean Locations. Now AEGEAN LOCATIONS is assisting foreign property buyers from 2 offices with a rapidly growing team of international agents for more than 5 years. “We see that more property buyers and investors are discovering this amazing area and all advantages it is bringing”.
Background DAVID MELISSE
David was born and raised nearby Rotterdam in the Netherlands. After his Bachelor degree graduation in Business Administration and Management from the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, he started working as a commercial employee of a National real estate agency in the Netherlands. 1 year later he was responsible for his own office in Breda city.
Following this experience David proceeded being active as an operations manager of CMDevelopment which is owning various projects in Turkey. David was attracted to the economic hub of Turkey; Istanbul, and pursued a career in Finance for an international trading company.
Although Istanbul is a very vibrant city, David decided to move to a more “livable” area and discovered that there is a huge lack of professional real estate agencies in the region İzmir. After assisting a few of his European contacts with the purchase of properties in İzmir, he decided to open his own firm and AEGEAN LOCATIONS was born.
Bridge Between EAST & WEST
Getting familiar to a local culture and business behavior can be challenging, especially if you do not speak the Language. David Speaks fluently Turkish and is very much aware of all local traditions. For each property transaction it is needed to navigate your way through various organizations and institutes. Having in depth know-how of each one of them in combination with contacts at those organizations is of great value for our customers. Furthermore, our long experience with local negotiations is a skill which directly benefits the clients’ finances.
